The other day, my friend and Table Chat Show co-host Erinn joked with me about our God-forsaken blogs. I laughed, one because Erinn is funny in general (she often hosts what we like to call “The Erinn Comedy Hour” within random episodes of our podcast when I have to step away from the microphone, like on our intuitive eating episode and our minimalism episode) and two because she is SO RIGHT.
Lately life has been oh so full. I just checked and the last time I wrote here was exactly a month ago, when I published an honest piece about “doing it all”. I stand by what I said in that post- I do very little in many areas of my life to make it so that I can do all the things I want to do.
Recently that has meant stepping away from Food-ish, even though I love writing here, to take care of some other important business: moving to a new city (!), sticking to a serious production schedule for my aforementioned podcast (!!), fighting insurance for weeks to approve a sleep study I desperately needed (!!!), oh and trying to remember to eat and shower and exercise. But here I am, back to it.
The rest of this year I’m excited to bring you more food, more real life, more food, and perhaps a congregated post featuring photos of “What I Wore to the Store”, a hashtag I started on Instagram that only further solidifies this site’s slogan, “Definitely Not a Fashion Blog”.
Thank you for being patient. Except for my sister Katie, who constantly sends me screen shots of my neglected blog. This one’s for you.
And now, as I’d like to close this post out with the Erinn Comedy Hour, please imagine her telling you the biggest dad joke you can imagine…
